The MarCom Department at Association Headquarters is an in-house agency of cross-functional marketing subject matter experts in the areas of an integrated strategy, digital, social and web, content and editorial, video production, and graphic design responsible for all clients and AH corporate work.
The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing is a key role within the department responsible for providing subject matter expertise in digital marketing strategy and execution for AH client partners and AH corporate activities. The Senior Manager provides leadership support and digital marketing savvy to marketing staff within the department and to client teams outside of the department. The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing also works with other AH stakeholders in the Technology Solutions team to help co-develop and oversee the execution of larger digital projects that have data optimization and SEO-related marketing implications.
The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and collaborates closely with MarCom Directors who lead strategy for the functions of content and creative, web, and service delivery.
We are seeking a high-performing, data-driven, digital marketing expert who possesses a true understanding of cutting-edge marketing philosophies, concepts, and trends. This person is effectively able to lead strategy and implement expert execution in support of defined KPIs, goals, and objectives. The ideal candidate for this position brings creative, fresh ideas and perspectives related to next-gen digital marketing while also managing expert execution for client and corporate priorities. This person is highly organized and detail-orientated; must be an effective collaborator and communicator among a diverse group of stakeholders who have input into our work and process.
Our environment is fast-paced, involving integrated sets of activities that are tracked and measured using a shared project management process engrained throughout the department. The ideal person in this role will have significant traditional best practices and trending digital marketing experience either in corporate or from the agency side.
Must be self-sufficient and well-versed in various email marketing platforms, time-based, and action-based workflow automation, and segmentation
Must be a digital marketing trend and “horizon-watcher”; bringing new concepts to pilot for AH and our clients
Strong in managing robust social media platforms
Understands the drivers of building SEO equity and experience performing website SEO and analytics audits
Experience having performed keyword research and keyword competitor ranking analysis
Experience in customizing settings/configurations for data optimization in Google Analytics, advanced tracking; Google Tag manager, and UTM parameter building
Experience in setting up and managing digital ad retargeting campaigns for native and display advertising
Experience in setting up and managing targeted paid social media campaigns predominantly on Facebook and LinkedIn
Adept at analyzing and interpreting marketing data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making
Monthly, quarterly, and annual measurement and tracking of Corp. KPIs, marketing metrics, and campaign analytics – must be a data-driven marketer
Excellent project management skills
Support VP and Directors with strategic marketing recommendations – participate and support the strategic planning process for AH Corporate Marketing projects
Monitor, formulate, and present relevant trends to MarCom leadership to support decision-making
Provide regular updates to marketing department leadership, staff, and AH leadership on progress, issues, etc. Develop and communicate reporting dashboards as appropriate
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience using various email marketing automation platforms such as Informz, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.
Experience using a variety of marketing insights platforms for social, email, video such as SEO Moz, Rival IQ, Hootsuite, and/or Sprout Social
Knowledge of the whole Google suite of marketing products, including Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager
Experience performing website SEO audits and developing SEO roadmaps and action plans for implementation
Excellent project management skills
Knowledge of video production; long and short-form video and social video snippets
Smartsheet project management experience is a plus
Google Analytics and SEO, social media certifications a plus
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/REQUIRED PROFICIENCIES
Masters and/or Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, or Business) required. A minimum of 7 years of digital marketing experience for a corporate or agency. Digital marketing certifications are a plus.
