The VP Creative Services/Executive Creative Director, supports the strategic growth and brand building goals of the Jefferson Enterprise, as well as its mission and values, by consulting on all creative strategies and overseeing the excellence of all creative work product produced by or through Marketing and Communications.
Provides comprehensive oversight of the in-house Creative Services team and its creative work product, as well as the activities and, in conjunction with marketing leads, creative deliverables of external creative talent and resources retained by the department, as needed.
Provides the creative lens through which all creative work product is filtered, within Creative Services, other areas of the department, and external resources.
Guides the creative process, start to finish, from Creative Briefs through presentation and quality control, fostering a supportive and inspired “blue sky” creative workspace, coveted by all who contribute to it.
Collaborates with colleagues department-wide, including but not limited to digital design, social design, multimedia production, or content and publications, to uphold creative strategy and framework and fulfill creatively cohesive work.
Actively pursues executive-level ideas that differentiate Jefferson Health and Thomas Jefferson University.
Works with Sr. Leadership and department colleagues to vet outside creative resources, and manage those chosen to work on behalf of the Jefferson brands.
Working closely with Director, Enterprise Brand:
Champions brand positioning and ensures compliance at every point of contact for each of the enterprise’s two Masterbrands, as well as approved sub-branded centers of excellence and enterprise strategic initiatives.
Ensures that all brand messaging is reflective of and relevant to the richly diverse marketplace that Jefferson Health and Thomas Jefferson University proudly serve.
Upholds an enterprise-wide culture of brand ambassadorship, creating digestible brand guidelines and accessible templates, and updating brand guidelines and templates as appropriate or necessary.
Creative Skill Building and Process:
Instills a curious and data-driven mindset within the creative services function, utilizing department and enterprise resources to stay abreast of industry, competitive, audience, media, and purchasing trends—and translates those insights into distinctive messaging for each unique audience we serve.
Serves as mentor and advocate for the creative services team, enhancing and evolving skillsets and capabilities, within Creative Services and department-wide.
Works in tandem with Marketing Operations to organize and monitor creative workload, assigning and prioritizing work, based on staff availability, skills, and resources.
Partners with department colleagues to implement best practices and refinement of workflow processes, procedures, and documentation, to better meet high-volume, high-quality program demands.
Oversees the consistent use of the Graphics shared drive and digital asset management system, inclusive of file naming conventions, backup protocols, etc., to ensure all creative assets are securely backed up and searchable, at all times.
Ensures that Creative Services team members are resourced with necessary hardware, software, and learning opportunities to remain cutting-edge.

BA or BFA in Design, Communications, Marketing or other Creative discipline
15+ years of demonstrated experience leading high-performing, cross-functional Creative Service staff
Minimum of 10 years demonstrated professional growth within an advertising agency strongly preferred
Prior experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, or other related industries
High proficiency in a MAC-based, Adobe Creative Cloud environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required
