Marketing Research Manager

Job Summary
This role is primarily a B2B research role role that will help drive The Inquirer’s advertising revenue goals.

What You’ll Do
Lead market research initiatives and keep a pulse on consumer sentiment, trends, and the broader marketplace landscape to inform recommendations.
Synthesize data and research findings into action-oriented insights for the sales and marketing team to drive revenue.
Field, analyze, and package primary research to share key learnings, using data to create compelling narratives for sales materials.
Craft go-to-market sales materials and establish quality control for our message to the business and advertising community including digital and social channels.
Position, package, and create awareness of The Inquirer’s brand value proposition and brand identity.
Identify competitive strategy and advantage.
Collaborate on interesting visual ways to present data in brand and sales materials working with iStudios, Sales and Marketing.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to assess business problems and translate insights into action-oriented business recommendations; Establish a process to respond to RFPs with a consistent voice and compelling brand story.
Develop insights and key facts repository — definitive reference of who we are, who we speak to, and what we offer, as well as the competitive marketplace. Use research and data to craft Inquirer brand story and strengthen brand strategy to audience, community and advertisers.
Establish which research vendors are needed to fulfill your responsibilities, communicate and align on approach and establish best practices. Negotiate the contracts and manage those relationships.
Work closely with consumer marketing team to host reader panels and surveys to drive sales, events, and brand goals.

Who We’re Looking For
2-3 years experience in market research
Knowledge of the media industry and advertising sales planning
Hands-on doer with experience pulling data from syndicated sources such as Clarita
Familiarity with Google Analytics
Ability to turn raw data into presentation material by building charts and graphs, and deriving insights
Innovative and explorative with the ability to analyze and communicate data to diverse groups
Keeps up to date on trends and best practices
