GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To manage the organization’s day-to-day digital communications, work across departments to help set priorities for and to execute the organization’s digital strategy, and continually assess the performance and effectiveness of CCD’s digital communications and campaigns across social media, email, and web.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Lead the implementation of CCD’s digital efforts according to the organization’s digital strategy to communicate about the full range of CCD’s programs and services;
•Collaborate with appropriate departments on initiatives to create visual and verbal consistency in content across social media, emails and all communications channels;
•Create new content, write and copy edit all aspects of digital communications including web, email, and social media;
•Copy edit and fact-check collateral, publications and research reports, and monitor content for appropriate tone as needed;
•Develop an organization-wide, year-long digital communications schedule and recommend objectives and tactics from one cycle to the next
•Provide staff training and support as needed.
•Oversee planned consolidation process of CCD’s suite of social media accounts from 16 to 5, consisting of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn;
•Develop and implement communication strategy for CCD social channels to increase public awareness of CCD’s on-street cleaning, safety and beautification efforts; research reports and publications; business support campaigns such as Restaurant Week, Shop Center City and Sips; and park events and marketing promotions;
•Monitor accounts for questions and comments, assist with requests for information and consult with CCD leadership to address concerns or criticisms;
•Fulfill event/promotion sponsorship benefits on social media based on CCD brand and strategy standards;
•Strategize and implement paid ad support across channels including message testing and account growth, and continuously optimize based on results. Consult with Marketing team and ad agency on coordinating other paid digital media;
•Develop and analyze monthly social media reports based on current objectives, key performance indicators, audience demographics and user journeys to identify trends and inform future content and channel strategies.
•Manage CCD’s email newsletters schedule; assist with management of CCD’s internal communications calendar and integrate appropriate content from other CCD’s social media content calendar;
•Work with appropriate team members to determine content for CCD’s email communications, including the weekly IN Center City email newsletter, as well as publication updates, special editions and additional invites as needed; ensure consistency is maintained in focus, visuals and voice between email communications and any concurrent social media posts.
•Monitor existing content and create new content as needed for CCD’s website, including its three subsidiary organizations (CPDC, CPTMA and CCDF) in collaboration with appropriate staff;
•Ensure website content remains up-to-date; prioritize and assess placement of web content and strategically reposition as new publications, events and initiatives are added;
•Generate monthly activity reports on the overall performance of the CCD website as well as special projects, campaigns and publications/reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•BA/BS degree in digital marketing, communications, marketing, journalism/English, or related field;
•5-7 years of experience in a similar digital communications role;
•Experience in collaborating with different departments.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strict attention to detail and grammar;
•Ability to operate cross functionally and manage competing perspectives diplomatically;
•Strong understanding of current digital communications and marketing trends, strategies and best practices;
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Photoshop;
•Demonstrated knowledge and experience creating professional content on social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube;
•Knowledge of paid social advertising strategy, execution, and measurement;
•Extensive experience with email marketing software, familiarity with MailChimp is a plus;
•Experience with Sprout Social is a plus, but not required;
•Experience with HTML and FTP practices is a plus;
•Knowledge of photography and video editing;
•Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM experience is a plus;
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
