Red Tettemer + Partners (RT+P), the Philly-based indie creative agency, announced that it has been named Agency of Record for Planet Fitness, the fastest-growing gym franchise in the U.S. The decision was made after a review that included eight top agencies. Scope of work will include creative and media, both traditional and social. Media duties will be handled by Red Tettemer + Partners’ media partner Mediacom. Spend has not been disclosed. The agency was also named Agency of Record for Maaco, the nation’s leading paint and collision service provider. The decision was made after a review. In January 2012, Planet Fitness entered a brand partnership with The Biggest Loser, the NBC reality show. During the season, contestants worked out on Planet Fitness gym equipment at The Biggest Loser ranch in Calabasas, California and in some episodes contestants worked out at Planet Fitness gyms near their homes.
Media for the brand’s existing broadcast creative is slated to launch later this summer.
Creative and media responsibilities were previously handled by Mullen.
