It was big, fun filled and truly electric night (What rain?!)---the 2011 Philadelphia ADDY Awards Celebration at Tendenza at Piazza in Northern Liberties on Thursday night.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our winners!
Five distinguished judges combed the print and broadcast entries for outstanding category representations. Five other expert judges focused solely on the digital and interactive categories. Choosing the top entries was challenging.
Red Tettemer dominated the ADDYs with an astounding 21 gold and 20 silver awards. Other leaders of the night included Neiman Group with 12 gold/3 silver and 1 Trick Pony (10 gold, 8 silver).
Best of Show was awarded to Red Tettemer+Partners, Best Of Interactive to One Trick Pony,
Best Of Radio to Neiman Group, Best Of TV to BIGSMACKtv, Best Of Print to Red Tettemer+Partners, and Best Of Public Service to Neiman Group.
Gold award winners also included AgileCat, BIGSMACKtv, Bluecadet Interactive, Brown Partners, Brownstein Group, custommedialabs, Girl Scouts, Hanlon, Holton Sentivan + Gury, Klip Collective, Machinery, Masterminds, Mint Advertising, Neo-Pangea, Netplus, Paragraph, Razorfish Health, Rosetta, The Archer Group and Tierney.
The three-tiered competition begins locally with the Philly Ad Club and with the AAF’s 200+ member clubs. The local gold winners proceed to one of 14 districts competitions. District winners then advance to compete for a national ADDY award.
Sponsored by the American Advertising Federation, the ADDY Awards Competition exemplifies the industry’s largest and toughest competition for creative talent. With over 60,000 entries submitted annually, the awards are designed to ignite excellence and cultivate the highest standards in the art of advertising.
The celebration—just shy of 600 attendees-- featured a dazzling opening video produced by Shooters in conjunction with the Philly Ad Club Young Professionals (See feature in March’s AD NEWS), the beginning of the show thematic video produced by NFL Films, and an Awards Presentation produced by Blue Design.
