Leslie Nichols named executive video producer at Bradford Media Group

Berwyn native Leslie Nichols has been named Executive Video Producer by leading media creation and distribution company Bradford Media Group. Nichols brings her storytelling, logistical, and technical expertise from extensive experience as a producer with Magical Elves Inc., producers of Top Chef and Project Runway in Los Angeles to the Philadelphia-based media company. Nichols will lead Bradford Media Group’s dynamic media production arm, Studio BMG, which works directly with the agency’s social media management (BMG Social), and marketing (BMG Reach) arms to tell company, brand, and product stories through digital media.

“The global shift from traditional to digital media in consumer video consumption influenced Leslie’s forward thinking transition from successful television producer to Studio BMG’s Executive Producer. Nichols’ primary responsibility in leading Studio BMG’s production team will be to develop high quality, original media production, including branded entertainment series, product videos, niche episodic programming and more for multiple platforms including social media and television for Bradford Media Group’s diverse clients including The Dotted Line, Beacon Business Network, NASCAR’S Tayler Malsam, the women’s lifestyle social community Life Around Home and its NBC Nonstop TV Series, Liberty Medical, and more.

As a Producer with Magical Elves Inc., Nichols oversaw talent management, field production execution, logistics and production management for renowned series Top Chef and Project Runway. Nichols perfected her experience in production supervision, efficient budget management, and content development during her experience with Philadelphia-based agency Banyan Productions where her projects included the first ever produced HDTV webisode series, “Life Dreams” for National Geographic. As Executive Producer and Co-Owner of the Philadelphia-based Junkdrawer Media, Nichols’ clients included Philadelphia Fashion Week, Lion Brand Yarn Company, The Greater Philadelphia Tourism & Marketing Corporation, The Mayor’s Office, Habitat for Humanity, and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. In Nichols’ experiences with FOX 21 (Los Angeles), CBS Television Studios, and ABC 6 (Philadelphia) she produced pieces on The Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Dad Vail Regatta, The Pentagon’s Liberty Medal Awards, Freeride Improv Comedy and more.

Nichols’ holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Television and Radio from Ithaca College in New York, where she Captained and stroked for the 2004 NCAA National Champion Women’s Eight National Champions, earning her the status of a First Team All-American.
