Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Philadelphia's Power 99 FM and WDAS FM announced today that they are teaming up with the Penn Relays, the historic track and field competition, on April 26-28, 2012. WDAS FM will be on site and Power 99 FM's weekday host, Cappuchino, will broadcast live from Franklin Field on Saturday April 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The 118th Penn Relays will be held at Franklin Field (33rd and South Street). Saturday's activities include the USA vs. the World events, the annual competitions between the best track athletes in the United States against athletes from around the world. Power 99 FM's sport reporter, Eddie F, will present awards to the winners of the Saturday races.
The Penn Relays began in April 1895 and have become the oldest and largest attended track and field competition in the United States, and one of the most attended track events in the world. In addition to the track and field events, there will be vendors and other festivities to provide entertainment for the athletes as well as the fans.
