Art Andrews to Host “The Corner Table” on Radio 1340 AM

Beginning Saturday January 19th at 9am, longtime Philadelphia radio news personality, Art Andrews will join Martini Lounge Radio 1340 AM WHAT to host a Saturday morning interview program called “The Corner Table”. Andrews handled morning drive news and information duties at WPEN-AM 950 while that station programmed Standards.

The Corner Table will feature conversations with local movers and shakers in the Philadelphia area. Airing Saturdays at 9am, the program will spotlight politicians, sports figures, public servants, entertainers, heads of charities and non-profits as well as notable Philadelphia business people. The interviews will be audio and video recorded at the station’s Manayunk studios and will be made available for view at any time on the station’s website http://www.martiniloungeradio.com

Each week, Andrews will host interesting and colorful guests who make up the fabric of Philadelphia. According to Andrews, “I’ve interviewed many guests on the radio, but not in the setting Martini Lounge Radio presents. It’s my hope to introduce listeners to the people who are truly unique to the Delaware Valley. In Philadelphia, Martini Lounge Radio is one of a kind. The Corner Table will be too. You be the judge.”

The first program this Saturday morning will feature a conversation with Patricia Harner, Executive Director of Philadelphia Physicians for Social Responsibility whose objective is to reduce violent crime in Philadelphia. Other guests in coming weeks Phillies ballpark announcer Dan Baker, singer Jane “Pixanne” Norman, publisher Jimmy Tayoun and Frank Rizzo Jr.

The new Contemporary Standards format on Martini Lounge Radio 1340 AM targets adult “Baby Boom” listeners with classics from Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald as well as new artists Michael Buble’, Diana Krall and Harry Connick Jr.
